“In reference to the statements regarding AC Milan made by the President of the Commissione Antimafia del Comune di Milano, David Gentili, Sino-Europe Sports stresses that to date and up until closing, AC Milan is owned by Fininvest,” the Press release begins.
“In addition, SES confirms that every step taken toward the closing of the transaction has been taken in full accordance with Italian legislation, and consistent with this approach, at closing SES will respect every aspect of current regulations concerning its involvement in AC Milan, including any obligation to communicate its list of shareholders.”
Meanwhile, Corriere della Sera is reporting that Sino-Europe may not get permission from the Chinese government to move €420m abroad in time to meet the deadlines.
To that end, a ‘Plan B’ is being drawn up, which would involve loans from European banks.
