The planned exchange between Torino and Atalanta has seemingly collapsed after Monaco went in for Brandon Soppy, so Wilfried Singo could now be replaced by Feyenoord right-back Marcus Pedersen.

A couple of days ago, it seemed almost certain that Soppy and Singo would swap places with the former going to Toro and the latter taking his place in Bergamo.

As part of that deal, Atalanta would also have received an extra €7m.

However, that hit the brakes when AS Monaco came in with their own proposal for Soppy worth circa €15m, according to Sportitalia.

A switch to France would be preferred for the 21-year-old, who was a product of the Rennes academy and came to Italy for Udinese in 2021.

Singo is down to the final season of his contract with the Granata and is still expected to leave, perhaps even for Atalanta in a pure cash deal.

Tuttomercatoweb maintain Torino could replace Singo with Pedersen, having seen an initial €5.5m offer turned down by Feyenoord.
