‘Simply Totti’: Roma celebrate birthday of club legend – video

by | Sep 27, 2021 13:24

Francesco Totti turns 45 today and Roma celebrated their legend’s birthday with a video showing his most iconic moments in a Giallorossi shirt.

The former striker, a product of Roma academy, spent his whole career at the club, scoring 307 goals in 786 appearances with them.

He retired in 2017 after winning one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cup with the Giallorossi as well as the 2006 World Cup with Italy.

He could have joined Real Madrid during his playing career, but his love and loyalty for his boyhood club prevented him from leaving the Stadio Olimpico at any stage of his career.

Later this month, Totti will have his autobiography published in English: ‘Gladiator.’

Thousands of fans have sent messages to Totti through social media on his special day and his former (and only) club Roma posted a video showing his best goals and the most iconic moments with the Giallorossi.
