Silvio Berlusconi has praised Milan Coach to be Pippo Inzaghi, saying he matches all the requirements the Rossoneri are looking for.

The former San Siro striker has been a virtual certainty to take the reins at the seven-time European champions for the past couple of weeks, though he is still yet to officially replace Clarence Seedorf as boss.

Club President Berlusconi, who today visited his side’s new Casa Milan headquarters, also spoke of how his tour around the club museum had provided him with added motivation to return the Rossoneri to their former glories.

“It was an exciting visit, especially to the museum where you can relive some of Milan’s historic victories,” Berlusconi told reporters.

“It’s from here that you see Milan have to return to being the best in Italy and in Europe.

“Inzaghi? I’ve seen him very determined, hungry for victory and absolutely in line with everything we want Milan to be. We want a team who wins and entertains the fans.

“There are different options we have in the transfer market. We hope to put a team out on the pitch next year that can begin a new cycle and take advantage of the fact we will only be playing once a week.”

The former Italian Prime Minister also expressed his belief that Mario Balotelli would still be a Milan player come the start of next season, as well as commenting on the current situation of Seedorf.

“Balotelli? I think he will still be with us. I’m hoping he can learn how to be a centre-forward.

“Seedorf? We’ll see the solution that we manage to find. Am I disappointed for him? Let’s talk about the future, the past is behind us.”
