Thiago Silva has conceded that he ‘misses Milan so much’ and that he hopes one day to work with the club again.

The Brazilian centre-back enjoyed three full seasons with the Rossoneri before summer 2012’s €42m transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

After helping Brazil to advance to the Round of 16 of the World Cup with victory over Cameroon, the 29-year-old took the chance to reiterate how he recalls his time at Milanello fondly.

“Milan has been very important for me,” Silva has told Sky Italia.

“Milan has been very important for me,” Silva has told Sky Italia.

“[Assistant Coach Mauro] Tassotti and [Massimiliano] Allegri always believed in me and I am glad to have worked with them, particularly with Mauro for the defensive aspect.

“I miss them all so much. I hope one day to be able to return to work with them.”
