Andrea Belotti may complete his free transfer to Roma once they finalise the loan departure of Eldor Shomurodov to Bologna.

The Giallorossi are building a strong project with Jose Mourinho in Rome and they’re looking to continue their impressive summer work. Roma have already signed Paulo Dybala, Zeki Celik, Nemanja Matic and Mile Svilar, and they’re also in talks with PSG’s Georginio Wijnaldum.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Belotti is waiting to finalise a free transfer to Roma and Bologna’s work to sign Shomurodov on loan will open up his move. The Rossoblu are hoping to complete this deal early next week.

Belotti is asking for a contract worth around €3m net per season but could lower his demands depending on the length of the contract and the add-ons. The fact that his wife is managing his affairs helps facilitate the deal, removing the often troublesome agent commissions.

The Italian striker is not keen on a move to Gennaro Gattuso’s Valencia, preferring instead to stay in Serie A.

  1. Yes, this is a good move. Perhaps, he improve his finishing techniques, become a more prolific striker and become even more helpful to the Nazionale.

  2. Just why is milan not taking him, it’s literally a dream move for both…. crazy cheap elliot.

  3. Milan already have Ibra, Giroud and Origi in that position.
If all three can’t play, there is Lazetic and of course CDK and Rebic can fill in that position temporarily.
Even if Milan want, Belotti wouldn’t want to be the 3rd or 4th choice in the team while he’s on prime age.
Besides, I agree on how Milan try to keep things on balance, we are rejuvenating the squad step by step.
Good potential and young Striker will come next year unfortunately for us as we are now more focus on other section atm.
