Bologna are pushing hard to try and agree a deal for Eldor Shomurodov and they’re reportedly intensifying the talks with Roma in an effort to beat out Trabzonspor.

The 27-year-old Uzbek forward seems set to depart this summer after failing to make consistent minutes under Jose Mourinho last season, starting only five Serie A matches. The departure of Shomurodov also gives Roma sufficient space for free agent Andrea Belotti, who would become the latest addition to Mourinho’s exciting project in the Italian capital.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma want around €13-14m for Shomurodov and they’re looking for a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached. Talks with Bologna are still ongoing because the Rossoblu are asking for either a discount or change in formula.

Despite competition from Trabzonspor, Bologna are feeling confident because they’re already agreed personal terms in principle with the Uzbek forward. Both parties are pushing to finalise a deal as soon as possible, with Roma ready to snap up Belotti.
