An Italian newspaper has suggested that Lazio offered Chelsea star Frank Lampard a three-year contract.
The 34-year-old is thought to be considering his future, as his contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season.
According to La Repubblica, Lazio have jumped in with an audacious proposal for Lampard to end his playing days in Serie A.
Up until now the England midfielder had been expected to look towards America or China.
Lazio would not be able to compete economically with these sides, but the offer of a three-year contract worth €2.5m per season would give him the chance to size himself up in Serie A.
Milan have already been linked with Lampard, having given David Beckham playing time in the past.
