There were several gestures to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine following the Russian invasion.
Milan, who are the ‘home’ team for this first leg, handed out cards for everyone attending with the Ukrainian flag and the word ‘Peace’ on it.
The Rossoneri players also warmed up wearing a T-Shirt with the same design.
Instead of the individual team photographs, both squads and the referees stood together mixed up behind a banner calling for ‘Peace.’
