Andriy Shevchenko is satisfied with Genoa‘s 0-0 draw away at Udinese and says he will focus on the upcoming match against Milan starting from tomorrow.

The former striker picked up his first point in Serie A as a coach in a goalless stalemate at the Dacia Arena.

“It’s worth a lot, because it was an away game against a solid team, very strong physically,” Shevchenko told DAZN.

“It’s an important draw, we created a few chances in the second half, but I saw solidity on our side, so I am satisfied.

“I am happy with how the players are working, they have accepted my ideas.”

Genoa will host Milan in the next Serie A match on Wednesday.

“I know… but I need to rest a bit, and I’ll think about it from tomorrow,” the former striker said.

“It will be a great emotion, but now I am only happy about the draw.”

Domenico Criscito and Mattia Destro will likely miss the match against the Rossoneri.

“Let’s see how they feel, but I don’t think there are players who can return from injuries soon,” the 45-year-old admitted.
