Former Milan hero Andriy Shevchenko has claimed a European Super League ‘would kill football as we know it’.
Shevchenko, who scored 175 goals across two spells with the Rossoneri, believes a Super League with the European giants could mean his native Ukraine ‘would suffer’.
“The idea of a European Super League would kill football as we know it,” he wrote on Twitter. “Countries like Ukraine would suffer and only the elite would prosper.
“We need to focus on developing football for all.”
