According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs have already agreed terms and Shaqiri was there to finally be convinced of the move.

The Swiss international has rejected transfers to Stoke, Schalke and Wolfsburg in recent weeks, but is not part of Inter’s plans just six months after his arrival from Bayern Munich.

The desperate nature of their attempts to be rid of him and comments from Bayern Munich director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge suggest something happened behind the scenes to prompt this split.

Everton are also still interested, but Shaqiri does finally seem ready to accept Stoke City.
