Serie A has named the six candidates for the September Player of the Month Award.
Despite starting with an international break, the month of September was full of action with three Serie A rounds that included some high-profile fixtures, such as the Derby della Madonnina in Milan and Juventus’ home clash against Antonio Conte’s Napoli.
The six candidates are for the Lega Serie A Player of The Month award for September are: Bremer (Juventus), Castro (Bologna), Cutrone (Como), Dimarco (Inter), Kvaratskhelia (Napoli), Pulisic (Milan).
Juventus, Inter, Milan and Napoli all have one player each on the list, while Como’s Patrick Cutrone and Bologna’s Santiago Castro also earned a place among the candidates due to their recent performances, which saw them score three Serie A goal each over the past month.
“The six players has been selected taking into account the advanced analysis of Stats Perform, created from the tracking data recorded with the Hawk-Eye system,” a statement published by Serie A reads.
“The rating system, patented in 2010 with K-Sport and scientifically validated, considers not only statistical data and technical events, but also positional data. This makes it possible to analyse crucial aspects such as movement without the ball and thus optimal movements, game choices, and the contribution to the technical and physical efficiency of the team, which allow for an objective and qualitative evaluation of the performance.
“For the final calculation were considered the matchdays from 4 to 6 of Serie A 2024/2025.”
