The 31-year-old defensive midfielder, who moved from SPAL to Cremonese in July 2018, scored his first goal of the season in some style yesterday, helping his side to a 2-0 win over Virtus Entella.
The Biancocelesti goalkeeper Alessandro Russo had claimed the ball and booted it up the pitch to get out of defence, but Castagnetti smashed it back in return with his first touch.

The ball flew 70 yards before ending up in the net behind a hapless Russo, who was not expecting a finish from there.
The goal secured back-to-back wins for Cremonese and they currently sit 14th in Serie B after 29 games.
