Several fixtures have had to be postponed and rescheduled due to COVID outbreaks at various clubs, most recently Pescara.

Some complained that this created a situation where sides could play knowing the outcome of the other games, creating an uneven playing field.

The Lega Serie B therefore decided today to suspend the calendar until May 1, giving all the teams time to catch up.

Week 35 will now be on May 1 rather than April 20, with Week 36 on May 4, Week 18 on May 7 and Week 19 on May 10.

Effectively, the season will now end three days later than originally planned.

This also affects the Serie B promotion play-offs and relegation play-out.

The play-offs begin on May 13, with the semi-finals on May 17 and May 20, the Final on May 23 and 27.

As for the relegation play-out, that is over two legs on May 15 and 21.
