The first leg of the Serie B promotion play-off final is this evening, as Cremonese and Venezia go head-to-head for a spot in the top flight.

It kicks off at the Stadio Giovanni Zini in Cremona at 19.30 UK time (18.30 GMT).

The second and decisive leg will be on the Laguna on Sunday June 2 at the same kick-off time.

Venezia successfully eliminated Palermo in the semi-final, while Cremonese pushed past Catanzaro.

Whoever wins the tie will join Parma and Como in earning promotion to Serie A for the 2024-25 campaign.

Venezia finished the regular season in third place, while Cremonese were three points behind them in fourth.

That means if the tie is level after two legs, Venezia are promoted rather than going to extra time or penalties.
