Join us for all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s four Serie A games, Parma-Milan, Udinese-Lazio, Inter-Lecce and Monza-Genoa.

This is Week 2 of the new season and we already saw quite a few surprises in the opening round of fixtures.

We begin today at 17.30 UK time (16.30 GMT) with stuttering Milan visiting newly-promoted Parma and Lazio hoping to build momentum against a revamped Udinese.

The game at the Tardini makes history as the first to be shown live on broadcast television in the USA, so it can be seen on CBS.

At 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), Inter are looking for their first win of the season by hosting Lecce, while Monza and Genoa face off.

Matteo Darmian (Inter)

“I always said, winning is never easy, but confirming yourself at the top is even tougher. We had taken the lead against Genoa and were unable to get the three points, so we absolutely needed to make up for that tonight in front of our fans.

“What I try to do is ensure I am ready, the secret is in the group dynamic. There’s a lot of competition at a club with the history of Inter, but it’s healthy competition and forces everyone to give their best.”

Hakan Calhanoglu (Inter)

“We have the same hunger and desire to win. Details make the difference at this level, it was very hot today, but with determination and the right mentality, we can keep going forward.

“Those who went on international duty returned late, we only had a few weeks of pre-season training, but we’ll get there slowly.”

Ouch. Pizzignacco punches a ball off the head of Ekuban, then Malinovskyi jumps with arm a bit too high and catches Gagliardini in the head. Yellow card and quite a lot of blood.

Monza chance

Gollini did have to work on that one, his gloves stung by a Kyriakopoulos scorcher from distance!

Monza hit the post!

That was basically a mistake, because it was meant to be a cross from Caprari, but bounced off the inside of the far post and into the grateful arms of Gollini!

84'
Inter wasteful!

Luckily for them, there was an offside from Carlos Augusto, because Mkhitaryan fired horribly off target!

  1. Supporting Parma! Hopefully, AC Milam lose ALL their Seria A games since they have 0 Italians contracted. They should reap what they sow!
