Tammy Abraham is expected to start in the Roma attack against Verona, who are looking for their first win under new coach Salvatore Bocchetti.

It kicks off at 17.30 UK time.

Verona lost the last six games in a row, including the first two under their new boss. The Gialloblu are without the injured Diego Coppola, Ivan Ilic, Darko Lazovic, Alessandro Cortinovic, Ajdin Hrustic and Roberto Piccoli.

Davide Faraoni will start on the right. The Italian wing-back has scored two goals against Roma but hasn’t found the net in Serie A since May.

José Mourinho must cope without Paulo Dybala, Gini Wijnaldum, Leonardo Spinazzola and Ebrima Darboe. The Italy international has suffered a muscle injury that should keep him on the sidelines until the new year.

Nicola Zalewski will replace him on the left, while Rick Karsdorp is favourite over Stephan El Shaarawy on the opposite flank.

Abraham should start up front with Nicolò Zaniolo and Lorenzo Pellegrini behind the England striker. The Giallorossi won the last three away games and haven’t managed four successive away victories since 2019-20.
