Salernitana finally picked up a point thanks to the Loum Tchaouna curler, but could not defeat 10-man Udinese and the acrobatic Hassane Kamara bicycle-kick.

The Friulani were hovering just above the drop zone with Thomas Kristensen suspended, Roberto Pereyra, Jaka Bijol, Gerard Deulofeu and Enzo Ebosse injured. New Salernitana coach Fabio Liverani was already at risk after defeats to Inter and Monza without scoring a single goal. Jerome Boateng, Federico Fazio, Norbert Gyomber and Lorenzo Pirola missed out.

See how it unfolded on the Liveblog.

Loum Tchaouna curled just over from the edge of the box with his weaker right foot, but showed soon after what he could do with the left, cutting inside from the right for a sensational curler into the far top corner. It was the first goal scored by Salernitana under Liverani.

Udinese had the ball in the net moments later when Alessandro Zanoli bundled a Florian Thauvin cross into his own net, but Lorenzo Lucca was offside in the build-up.

Guillermo Ochoa made an extraordinary save using his legs on Lucca’s first-time strike from six yards, as it seemed to be squirming through.

An inspired Thauvin back-heel flick had sent Sandi Lovric clear only for the angled drive to flash across the face of goal.

Udinese equalised in real style on the stroke of half-time, as Thauvin whipped in a cross from the left and Hassane Kamara met it with an acrobatic bicycle-kick from seven yards. It was the former Watford man’s first Serie A goal.

Thauvin’s free kick skimmed the far post, then his cross found Kamara at the back post only to be ballooned over the bar.

Udinese were reduced to 10 men when Festy Ebosele went into a late tackle on Pellegrino, stamping on his foot, both injuring himself in the process and earning a second yellow card.

Salernitana almost took advantage, Tchaouna controlling a cross to the back post only to thump the finish against the frame of the goal.

Penalty appeals for handball were rejected, as Chukwu Ikwuemesi had previously fouled the goalkeeper, while Maggiore made a decisive block on Joao Ferreira after an Udinese corner.

Antonio Candreva could’ve won it with the last kick of the game as Salernitana countered from a corner, but he was visibly tired and blasted over the bar.
