Inter have postponed medical tests for Iran international Mehdi Taremi, while Roma are unlikely to sign Romelu Lukaku on a free transfer and Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on Milan star Rafael Leao.

The summer transfer window is still pretty far away, but Serie A and European clubs are already preparing for June.

Inter have reached agreements with Piotr Zielinski and Taremi, but while the Napoli midfielder has already undergone medical tests with the Nerazzurri, Taremi’s arrival in Italy has been postponed by the Serie A giants who want to avoid any problem for the 31-year-old in his final months at Porto.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Taremi’s medical checks will take place at a secret location later this year.

A former Inter striker, Lukaku, will likely return to Chelsea at the end of the current campaign as Roma seem unable to match his €43m price tag. In the meantime, the Giallorossi are looking for a long-time Rui Patricio replacement and have set their sights on Napoli keeper Alex Meret, who is available as a free agent in the summer.

Milan star Rafael Leao has been linked with PSG, but according to Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona are also interested in the Portuguese star.

Another Milan star, Fikayo Tomori, is wanted by Bayern Munich, who could sell Mattijs de Ligt to Manchester United unless the Red Devils pick Juventus’ Gleison Bremer.

Elsewhere in Serie A, Genoa have decided they won’t sell their striker Albert Gudmundsson for less than €35m next summer.
