Thursday’s transfer reports in Serie A revolve primarily around the coaches, as Inter’s Simone Inzaghi and Bologna’s Thiago Motta continue to attract attention from the Premier League, while Juventus continue to prepare for a summer of new arrivals in midfield and defence.

Bologna’s home match against Serie A leaders Inter will be of particular interest to both Liverpool and Manchester United according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as both Inzaghi and Motta have been linked with a move to the north-west of England in recent weeks.

Specifically, Liverpool have reportedly included on the list of potential successors for Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, although the Nerazzurri coach is said to be happy in his current set-up, and Inter could be set to offer him a new two-year extension to his current contract.

Motta, meanwhile, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the event that current Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is dismissed in the coming months.

Juventus are set to have a busy time in the summer transfer market according to the press in Italy. Thursday’s reports suggest that a decision over Adrien Rabiot’s future may not be decided upon until after Euro 2024. The Frenchman’s current deal with the Old Lady is set to expire this summer.

The Bianconeri have several midfield targets in mind for the summer, the highest priority of which is Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners. Mikel Merino of Real Sociedad, Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson, Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic and Shakhtar Donetsk talent Georgiy Sudakov are all of interest to Cristiano Giuntoli and his team.

Juve have also reportedly opened talks with Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly over a possible free transfer in the summer. The Bournemouth defender is unlikely to sign an extension to his current deal on the south coast.
