Check out the latest updates for Serie A transfer news on Monday, including a reported imminent offer for Newcastle target Federico Chiesa and Milan‘s plan to extend Christian Pulisic’s contract.

Udinese and Inter meet at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine in the final match of Serie A round 31 tonight but there have been some interesting transfer stories published by Italian media today. Some of those involved Inter too.

Transfer news: Inter

For example, La Gazzetta reported that the Nerazzurri may need less than €60m to sign Brazilian keeper Bento from Athletico Paranaense, but the Serie A giants must face competition from some Premier League clubs.

As for the reported interest in Manchester United flop Anthony Martial, Football Italia’s Matteo Moretto said that Beppe Marotta must determine the future of Alexis Sanchez, Marko Arnautovic, Joaquin Correa and Valentin Carboni before opening talks with any other target.

According to Corriere dello Sport on page 16, Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno has told some Italian Inter players that he’d love to play for the Nerazzurri, but his €40m price tag is too high.

Transfer news: Juventus

Meantime, Massimiliano Allegri’s future at Juventus remains uncertain, and more sources claim Thiago Motta is the leading candidate to replace the Livorno-born coach in 2024-25. Federico Chiesa’s name is also quite popular on Italian media, and Corriere dello Sport reported on Monday that Newcastle set their sights on the Italy international, with Juventus ready to receive an ‘important’ offer from England.

According to Moretto, Juventus are also monitoring possible long-term replacements for Wojciech Szczęsny and have recently scouted Villarreal’s Filip Jørgensen. At the same time, the club have confirmed Nikola Sekulov’s contract extension until June 2027.

Transfer news: Napoli and Milan

Moretto also feels the Premier League remains the most likely destination for Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

As per Calciomercato.com, the Partenopei have set their sights on Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez to replace the Nigerian forward, and his David Hancko is seen as potential defensive reinforcements.

Last but not least, as per Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan want to activate a clause to extend Christian Pulisic’s contract until 2028.
