Torino got back on track by making short work of Sampdoria with two very similar goals scored by Nemanja Radonjic and Nikola Vlasic.

Toro’s injury crisis was starting to calm down, with Antonio Sanabria and Pietro Pellegri only fit for the bench, while Ola Aina and Sasa Lukic missed out. Medhi Leris was suspended for Samp, with Abdelhamid Sabiri, Andrea Conti, Ignacio Pussetto and Harry Winks injured.

Perr Schuurs went off injured for Toro, who then forced an Emil Audero save with a powerful Radonjic angled drive.

The hosts found their breakthrough when Radonjic surged forward, completed a give and go with Nikola Vlasic, and turned on the spot to drill into the far bottom corner.

The second goal was remarkably similar, except on this occasion it was Vlasic who found the net with a snooker shot on the turn after meeting Mergim Vojvoda’s assist.

Samp coach Dejan Stankovic was sent off for dissent and his team made little impact, Manolo Gabbiadini ballooning into the stands from a Tommaso Augello assist.
