After a long weekend, Dave Taylor picks a 3-5-2 where Fiorentina, Roma and Napoli dominated in his top XI from Week 6.

Morgan De Sanctis [Roma]

A relatively comfortable evening but always ready when needed. First he denied a Marco Borriello bullet with a fingertip save, stopped a Ryder Matos penalty and the subsequent follow-up before saving a strong Kevin Lasagna effort. Alert.

Kalidou Koulibaly [Napoli]

After a long weekend, Dave Taylor picks a 3-5-2 where Fiorentina, Roma and Napoli dominated in his top XI from Week 6.

Morgan De Sanctis [Roma]

A relatively comfortable evening but always ready when needed. First he denied a Marco Borriello bullet with a fingertip save, stopped a Ryder Matos penalty and the subsequent follow-up before saving a strong Kevin Lasagna effort. Alert.

Kalidou Koulibaly [Napoli]

He might be built like a tank but he can also move like a Ferrari and his strength and pace was too much for Juve as he limited them to few chances in his zone of influence. Authoritative.

Kostas Manolas [Roma]

Imperiously commanded his back line won balls and was best seen when he stopped a dangerous Borriello in the box. He also initiated attacks and worked well with Lucas Digne, who set up his goal. Reliable.

Lucas Digne [Roma]

Settled quickly and was a constant problem worrying defenders with his non-stop running. His endeavours were rewarded when he headed home a delicious cross from Maicon and made Manolas’ goal. Imposing.

Gervinho [Roma]

Another Roma player who shone while tearing the visitors’ defence and confidence to shreds with darting runs, feints and dribbles. Always alert, he scored after latching onto a Maicon rebound leaving the opposition as scared as an icebox near Juan Iturbe. Enlightened.

Luca Biglia [Lazio]

Following his injury the captain didn’t waste time getting to grips with the game and never relented. Orchestrating the play he kept Lazio flowing and capped it all off with a well-taken penalty. Scheming.

Blerim Dzemali [Genoa]

Used the ball extremely well hardly wasting a pass and contributed to both attack and defence with equal awareness. Perhaps lucky when his free kick rebounded into the net, but they all count. Responsive.

Miralem Pjanic [Roma]

The man of the match sparkled everywhere, attacking from all sides. Showed his excellence with a sublime rooster’s tail of a freekick that curled over the wall before nestling inside the near post for goal number two. Illuminating.

Marcos Alonso [Fiorentina]

Had a fine game, with Inter having more chance of spotting Haley’s comet than the Spaniard as he left both Davide Santon and Ivan Persic behind throughout, especially when spinning Persic before setting up Kalinic with a perfect cross. Inexorable.

Josip Ilic [Fiorentina]

A magnificent performance and apart from scoring the opening penalty. he went onto play a big part in the other three goals. Non-stop running and always eager to be first to the ball, he absolutely dominated the proceedings. Outstanding.

Nikola Kalinic [Fiorentina]

The Croatian scored twice within five minutes, ripping the Inter defence apart, before completing his hat-trick in the second half. A real terror in attack he was always in the right place at the right time, a Rottweiler up against Andrex puppies. Exceptional.

Gonzalo Higuain [Napoli]

Always influential scoring and making the assist for Lorenzo Insigne after some neat interchanges between them. Following that he intercepted a Juve pass injected pace and trickery into a breathtaking solo run that ended with his winning goal. Prepared.

Special Mentions: Diego Perotti [Genoa], Allan [Napoli], Marco Parolo [Lazio], Marco Benassi [Torino], Giuseppe Vives [Torino], Lorenzo Insigne [Napoli], Duvan Zapata [Udinese], Federico Dionisi [Frosinone], Boukary Drame [Atalanta].
