Samir Handanovic [Inter]
Thanks to several superb saves the 33-year-old Slovenian won the points for Inter. Outstanding on three separate occasions from Aleksandar Tonev, he also kept the visitors in the game with a fabulous finger tip save from Marcus Rohden’s dynamic header. Excellent.

Alessandro Florenzi [Roma]
After being out with injury since last season the Giallorossi youth product returned to play a great game. Faster than a Gazelle with a lion on it’s tail, he produced a sublime assist for Edin Dzeko, when his bullet-like cross found the Bosnian’s head. Superb.
Milan Skriniar [Inter]
The youngster was a rock in central defence and scored the winner to give the hosts the points. From a free kick the Slovakian scored his first Serie A goal on the third attempt after back-pedalling before looping the ball into the far top corner leaving defenders wriggling like a bucket of Catawba worms. Solid
Bastos [Lazio]
A solid performance by the 25-year-old, who apart from his measured defending, also scored the opener when he was first to react to a loose ball from a Sergej Milinkovic-Savic free kick. It was the Angolan’s first Serie A goal. Firm.
Cristiano Biraghi [Fiorentina]
Totally in control of the visitors’ right flank and left the opposition defence feeling so glaringly thin that like a house of cards, they were one blow from caving in. It was his corner that gave German Pezzella the opportunity to score the winning goal. Menacing.
Juan Cuadrado [Juventus]
Although you can only play what is in front of you the Colombian still showed no mercy with an assist plus a series of dribbles and key passes. Always an outlet on the right the Columbian like some viscous substance coming to the boil got even hotter as the game went on. Electric.
Davide Calabria [Milan]
The 20-year-old showed why he could become a key part of the Rossoneri set up. Whether in defence or midfield his tireless but simple work saw him win balls, set up attacks and produce the assist for the winning goal. Determined.
Lorenzo Insigne [Napoli]
Difficult to stop at the best of times, the Napoli-born ace was inexorable and stood out like a beef steak at a veggies’ barbecue scoring the Azzurri’s second goal and producing an assist for Dries Mertens. Exciting.
Paulo Dybala [Juventus]
Another game, another great performance from La Joya, who scored a fine hat trick with his first goal the 50th the Argentinean ace has scored in 100 competitive appearances for Juve. With his three shots on target all going in, he could not have played much better. Exclusive.
Dries Mertens [Napoli]
A man of the match performance from the Belgian, who scored a hat trick including two well-taken penalties. Ran the visitors ragged and they just couldn’t handle his acrobatic trickery for his first, while his spot kicks were simply spot on. Special.
Federico Chiesa [Fiorentina]
The Viola youngster had the run of the game screaming down the wing like a Jet Harrier about to take off, scoring the opener and threatening on several occasions before his goal. His strike came about when his right-footed curler smacked into the top corner, “Just like my father would score,” said the Azzurri U21 ace afterwards. Classy.
