With both Juventus and Roma winning it is all the same at the top, with Napoli’s victory putting them third as Dave Taylor selects his best XI from Week 10.

Lukasz Skorupski [Empoli]

That Empoli didn’t concede more than just two goals was a lot to do with the Roma loanee’s ability. After foiling Jose Callejon and several strong efforts from Dries Mertens he showed even more of his talent when making a standout save from a fierce Jorginho strike. Superb.

Ezequiel Munoz [Genoa]

A real giant in defence with a motto of none shall pass and none did. Always well positioned he saw off any threats by Carlos Bacca or M’Baye Niang, denying both players any room to cause problems. Outstanding.

Giorgio Chiellini [Juventus]

The big man is back and how. Apart from his comical back pass for Samp’s goal, he also scored a brace in an almost textbook performance. His first goal came as he headed home from a corner while his second saw him in the right place to nod Juan Cuadrado’s freekick into the net. Unyielding.

Mattia Caldara [Atalanta]

A strong, determined game from the 22-year-old defender, who almost scored in the first half only to see his header rebound off the crossbar. Into the second half he was rewarded when he headed home a Remo Freuler cross. Indomitable.

Miralem Pjanic [Juventus]

Set up Chiellini’s first goal with his corner and left the visitors looking as silly as their President last week, with his vision and pressure. He also scored Juve’s third goal by being in the right place to force the ball over the line. Complete

Dries Mertens [Napoli]

Always busy on the ball and combined well with Lorenzo Insigne. After a couple of blinding saves from Skorupski he finally beat the ‘keeper and broke the deadlock when he slipped the ball in at the far post following a deflected cross. Determined.

Juan Cuadrado [Juventus]

Seemed to be everywhere on the pitch outrunning, outsmarting and outthinking and generally causing mischief in the Sampdoria ranks. It was his quicksilver feet that left Vasco Regini limper than a French handshake before he put over the perfect cross for Mario Mandzukic’s diving header. Spirited.

Felipe Anderson [Lazio]

The Brazilian ace scored the goal of the game dancing past four defenders and leaving them rolling head over heels like shot rabbits before slotting home. On this performance Lazio have got the real Felipe Anderson back and more. Forceful.

Leonardo Pavoletti [Genoa]

Came on with 23 minutes to go, opened up like a butterfly and changed the game with two goals to his credit in the 3-0 win. With his first real chance his presence forced Juraj Kucka into putting through his own net while he beat a defender and slotted the ball past Gigi Donnarumma for the third. Energetic.

Ciro Immobile [Lazio]

Ignoring his sexy wife or not, the Italian hitman was like a pig onto a truffle looking to score from the off. With two goals to his credit he played a big part in Lazio’s win and has now scored six in the last four games. Bomber.

Edin Dzeko [Roma]

After warning the hosts several times the hotshot Bosnian eventually got the equaliser when a superb pass from Mohamed Salah put him into position to slot past Andrea Consigli. He also won a penalty and converted it with real power. Potent.

Special mentions: Nikola Ninkovic [Genoa], Giacomo Bonaventura [Milan], Pepe Reina [Napoli], Seko Fofana [Udinese], Cyril Thereau [Udinese], Mauro Icardi [Inter]
