Serie A completed the Week 29 fixtures on Friday and Saturday to leave Easter Sunday free, while Inter, Milan, Napoli, Juventus, Roma and Fiorentina gear up for European quarter-finals.
Whereas the Premier League, LaLiga and others continue to play regularly scheduled matches on Easter Sunday, Serie A likes to traditionally take time out on public holidays.
This also means Football Italia will take the day off and we’ll resume coverage on the morning of Monday April 10.
The Boxing Day games have been experimented before and will be again in Italy, but when it comes to Christmas and Easter, those are to be spent with family, including the players and coaches.
Some won’t get much time off, as they are already preparing for huge European tests next week.
Inter will visit Benfica in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday evening, while it’s an all-Italian derby between Milan and Napoli at San Siro on Wednesday.
Thursday is set aside for the Europa League, as Roma are in Rotterdam against Feyenoord and Juventus welcome Sporting CP.
Fiorentina are the lone Italian representative in the Conference League and visit Lech Poznan on April 13.
