Inter’s win over Genoa and Juventus’ loss to Napoli has extended the Nerazzurri’s lead at the top, whilst Milan’s victory over Lazio puts second in their sights.

Simone Inzaghi’s side struggled more than expected in a 2-1 win at home to Alberto Gilardino’s Genoa in their Monday evening clash, a result that now puts them 15 points clear of the Old Lady.

Milan kickstarted the 27th round of Serie A action with an incredibly fiery 1-0 win over an eight-man Lazio. Their victory, and Juventus’ defeat to Napoli, puts them just a point behind Massimiliano Allegri’s side.

The Partenopei’s key win over the Bianconeri helped them climb a little closer to the European spots, leapfrogging Fiorentina after the Viola were held to a goalless draw by Ivan Juric’s Torino.

Bologna continued their impressive work under Thiago Motta, edging out a 2-1 win over European rivals Atalanta after goals from star duo Joshua Zirkzee and Lewis Ferguson. The Rossoblu hold a four-point lead over Roma ahead of their clash with Inter.

The Giallorossi secured their sixth league win in seven under Daniele De Rossi when they travelled to Monza, flying to a 4-1 win after goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini, Romelu Lukaku, Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes.
