Milan are just one point below Juventus after their 1-0 win over Napoli, but the race for the top four is also pretty thrilling, with five teams within five points.

Milan have cemented the third placement in Serie A with a 1-0 victory over Napoli at San Siro on Sunday night.

It means the Rossoneri are just one point below second-placed Juventus, but the Bianconeri have a game in hand and will host Udinese at the Allianz Stadium on Monday night.

Max Allegri’s men are currently seven points below table leaders Inter who secured a 4-2 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

The Giallorossi are four points below fourth-placed Atalanta, but La Dea have a game in hand. The Nerazzurri beat Genoa on Sunday but couldn’t stretch their lead over Bologna, Lazio and Fiorentina, who also won over the weekend.

Napoli are currently outside a European placement sitting 9th with 35 points.

Down in the drop-zone, Salernitana sit rock-bottom and have appointed Fabio Liverani as their third coach this season.

Cagliari and Hellas Verona are also in the relegation zone, but Udinese, Sassuolo and Empoli are not too far away.

Top goal scorer Lautaro Martinez didn’t find the net over the weekend and the same is true of Olivier Giroud, Matias Soulé and Romelu Lukaku, while Dusan Vlahovic won’t be available for Juventus against Udinese due to a muscle problem.
