Romelu Lukaku is expected to start for Inter against Dejan Stankovic’s Sampdoria at Marassi tonight.
It kicks off at 19.45 GMT.
Stankovic, a former Nerazzurri midfielder and a 2010 Treble winner, must cope without the injured Andrea Conti, Koray Günter and Ignacio Pusssetto and the suspended Mehdi Leris. Fabio Quagliarella is not fully fit but should go on the bench and the same is true of new signing Jese Rodriguez.
Jeison Murillo is favourite to start over Fabio Murru at the back and so is Michael Cuisance in central midfield.
Samp have collected a draw with Monza last week, but haven’t remained unbeaten in two consecutive Serie A matches since April 2022.
Inter travel to Genoa without the injured Joaquin Correa, but the rest of the team is available.
Federico Dimarco could rest with Robin Gosens getting the not on the left flank. Lukaku is likely to start along with Lautaro Martinez in attack.
Stefan de Vrij or Francesco Acerbi will complete a three-man defence with Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni.
The Argentinean striker has already scored 12 goals in 21 Serie A matches. Just one draw in the last 30 games for Inter and the Nerazzurri (3) are the team with most clean sheets in Serie A in 2023 after Roma (4).
