Relegation candidates Sampdoria are desperate to continue their climb out of danger with a win over a challenging Bologna side.
The match between the Blucerchiati and the Rossoblu kicks off at 14.00 UK time at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa.
Sampdoria currently sit 19th in the Serie A table after 22 games, eight points behind 17th place Spezia. Things have been tough on and off the pitch for the Ligurian outfit and coach Dejan Stankovic has a difficult task ahead of him as he looks to pull off the impossible.
The Blucerchiati are without Andrea Conti, Ignacio Pussetto and Koray Gunter, all of whom are out injured.
Bologna have found some stability under Thiago Motta this season and sit 11th in the Serie A table with 29 points, comfortably safe from relegation but still far off the European spots. The Rossoblu will be hoping to break into the top half of the table in the coming months.
The Emilia-Romagna outfit cannot count on Kevin Bonifazi, Adama Soumaoro, Nicola Sansone, Nicola Bagnolini and Joshua Zirkzee, all sidelined with injuries. Marko Arnautovic is also unavailable through suspension.
