Serie A: Roma vs. Sampdoria probable line-ups

Jose Mourinho’s Roma host Dejan Stankovic’s Sampdoria in the late afternoon kick-off in this weekend’s round of Serie A fixtures.

A win for Roma could see them spring into the top four positions in the league if other results go their way this evening, whilst Sampdoria look for vital points in their bid to remain in the division.

Roma will have two enforced changes to make after Roger Ibanez and Bryan Cristante were shown red cards in the Derby della Capitale against Lazio before the international break, with Diego Llorente and Nemanja Matic tipped to replace them.

Marash Kumbulla and Gianluca Mancini are also suspended, meaning Mourinho is likely to change shape and bring in Stephan El Shaarawy to play out wide.

Meanwhile, Tammy Abrahm could be called back in to start for the Giallorossi in place of Andrea Belotti.

For Sampdoria, Bram Nuytinck also misses out through suspension and Koray Gunter has picked up an injury, making place for Jeison Murillo and Tomas Rincon in the starting line-up.

The game will kick off at 17.00 UK time.

Roma (4-2-3-1): Patricio; Zalewski, Smalling, Llorente, Spinazzola; Matic, Wijnaldum; Pellegrini, Dybala, El Sharaawy; Abraham.

Sampdoria (3-4-3): Turk; Zanoli, Murillo, Amione; Leris, Winks, Rincon, Augello; Djuricic, Gabbiadini, Cuissance.
