Udinese are desperate to end their eight-match winless streak and host a Sassuolo side who do better on their travels.

The Friulani had started the season so well, drawing 2-2 with Juventus, beating Venezia and Spezia, but have since scraped only four stalemates in eight rounds. Ignacio Pussetto is still carrying an injury, so Gerard Deulofeu should partner impressive summer signing Beto.

Sassuolo have performed better on their travels than at home, including the 2-1 victory away to Juventus, but followed that up with a domestic loss to Empoli. They are incredibly inconsistent and a far cry from the side that so impressed under Roberto De Zerbi last season.

Maxime Lopez is suspended, so veteran Francesco Magnanelli should make his return in the middle of the park.
