Alessio Cragno returns for Cagliari, although Kevin Strootman is in doubt, as struggling Genoa try to get their new buys in the side.

The Sardinians need their goalkeeper back after the 4-1 defeat to Milan, especially as Diego Godin and now also Strootman are potentially on the treatment table. New signings Keita Balde Diao and Martin Caceres are pushing for a spot in the starting XI.

Genoa lost both games so far this season and the pressure is already piling on coach Davide Ballardini. They were crushed 4-0 by Inter and unlucky in a 2-1 home defeat to Napoli. The club was very active on the transfer market in the final days, so Felipe Caicedo, Nikola Maksimovic and Vasquez are potentially going to make their debuts.

Stat fact: Only once have Genoa started a season with three consecutive defeats, in 1957-58.
