Salernitana are back in the top flight after 22 years and face Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara.

Serie A kicks off this weekend and on Sunday, a new chapter in the top division is written in the Granata history.

Salernitana have secured their third promotion to Serie A, after the ones from 1997-98 and 1946-47.

Bologna are aiming to bounce back from their embarrassing defeat to Ternana in the Coppa Italia but have only won one of their 11 last opening games in Serie A.

Stat fact: Bologna have only won one of their last 10 games in the championship, a 4-1 win over Spezia in April.
