Lega Serie A has pledged to support lone candidate Gabriele Gravina in the FIGC presidential race.
It was confirmed on Monday that Gravina would go unchallenged in October 22’s election, and Serie A clubs have now released a statement backing the Lega Pro chief.
“There’s great convergence between the issues that Serie A has made tackling a priority in the coming months and Gravina’s project to relaunch Italian football,” it read.

Gravina already had the support of the amateur Leagues and referees’ association and should be propped up further by Lega Serie B.
However, the players’ union has decided against giving the 65-year-old its vote.
“I asked for a meeting with them, but unfortunately they felt differently,” he admitted.
