Serie A players have made a huge impact on Euro 2020, with 18 out of 55 goals scored by their players and nine out of 24 Man of the Match awards.

We have now completed the second set of games in the group stage and can begin to see some patterns emerging in the tournament.

Out of 55 goals scored, 18 of them were credited to players who are currently plying their trade in Serie A.

They include Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, who is top scorer on three with ex-Roma and Sampdoria forward Patrik Schick.

Lazio’s Ciro Immobile, Inter hitman Romelu Lukaku and Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli bagged two apiece.

The other Serie A players on target were Milan Skriniar (Inter), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli), Robin Gosens (Atalanta), Aaron Ramsey (Juventus), Ivan Perisic (Inter), Alvaro Morata (Juventus), Goran Pandev (Genoa), Aleksei Miranchuk (Atalanta) and Karol Linetty (Sampdoria).

The statistics also impress when it comes to Man of the Match awards, as in 24 games played so far, nine of the winners have been Serie A representatives.

They are Leonardo Spinazzola (Roma), Christian Eriksen (Inter), Lukaku twice (Inter), Skriniar (Inter), Ronaldo (Juventus), Locatelli (Sassuolo), Miranchuk (Atalanta) and Gosens (Atalanta).
