Genoa vs. Milan: Serie A Week 35 official line-ups

Milan must overcome Genoa to keep their slim hopes of securing a European spot alive, with strikers Luka Jovic and Andrea Pinamonti leading the line for their respective sides, and Rafael Leao is a surprising omission from the Rossoneri’s starting XI.

It kicks off at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT, 20.45 CET).

Patrick Vieira’s team has won just one of their last five Serie A matches, losing three, which has slightly tarnished an otherwise solid run that had all but secured safety for the Grifone.

Milan coach Sergio Conceiçao will be without the injured Tammy Abraham, giving Jovic another chance to stake his claim for a regular starting spot.

However, in attack, Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will support the Serbian striker, with Leao starting on the bench.

Riccardo Sottil and Warren Bondo are the only other absentees for the visitors.

Alex Jimenez has been chosen to start at right wing-back, with Kyle Walker dropping to the bench, while there were no doubts over the other three players completing the midfield.

Vieira will deploy former Milan attacking midfielder Junior Messias as part of the trio behind Pinamonti, flanked by Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Morten Thorsby.
