Napoli rely on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen against Juventus, while Carlos Alcaraz will start his first game for the Bianconeri.

It kicks off at 19:45 GMT at the Stadio Maradona.

The defending champions, coached by Francesco Calzona, must cope without the injured Cyril Ngonge and Jens Cajuste. They won their first game against Sassuolo under their new tactician on Wednesday. Still, there will be some line-up changes as Piotr Zielinski is expected to replace Hamed Junior Traoré. At the same time, Mathias Olivera will start as a left-back, leaving Mario Rui initially on the bench.

How things have changed since Napoli thrashed Juve 5-1 last season

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has two key players on the treatment table: Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie, plus Moise Kean, Mattia Perin, and Mattia De Sciglio.

The only doubt for the Livorno-bor coach is in central midfield, as just one between Fabio Miretti and Andrea Cambiaso will start alongside Alcaraz and Manuel Locatelli.

If Cambiaso starts in central midfield, then Timothy Weah will get the nod as a right-wing-back. Otherwise, Cambiaso will start on the wing with Miretti in central midfield.

Napoli-Juventus, probable line-ups

Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus, Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia.

Juventus (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Rugani; Cambiaso, Alcaraz, Locatelli, Miretti, Kostic; Vlahovic, Chiesa.
