Victor Osimhen has temporarily left Serie A, joining Galatasaray on loan, which means that only Cristiano Ronaldo and the Brazilian Ronaldo had a better minutes-per-goal ratio in Italy’s top flight.

Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli as the Nigerian star was no longer part of Antonio Conte’s plans.

The Italian tactician praised Napoli for their ‘consistency’ in handling the transfer saga, especially after possible transfers to the Saudi Pro League and Chelsea had collapsed.

Napoli had already signed Romelu Lukaku to replace Osimhen, who was not even included in the club’s Serie A squad.

For this reason, the 25-year-old joined Galatasaray on loan and was greeted in Istanbul by thousands of fans last night.

As reported by Opta on X, formerly Twitter, Osimhen has left Serie A with the third-best minutes per goal ratio in the three points for a win era.

Osimhen scored one goal every 125 minutes at Napoli, only below ex-Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo (one goal every 104 minutes) and ex-Inter and Milan striker Ronaldo (one goal every 117 minutes).
