Milan will be hoping to find some redemption following their Coppa Italia exit when Jose Mourinho’s Roma visit San Siro.

The match between the Rossoneri and the Giallorossi kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

Milan have started to return to form in recent weeks, picking up wins over Sassuolo and Empoli, but their fans were again left disappointed after Stefano Pioli’s side were eliminated from the Coppa Italia following a 2-1 loss to Atalanta in the quarter-finals.

The Rossoneri have started to recover from their injury crisis but still cannot count on Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, Alessandro Florenzi and Tommaso Pobega.

Things have been more difficult for Mourinho and Roma in the last month, having won just once in their last five league games. They were also knocked out of the Coppa Italia, falling to rivals Lazio in a tense 1-0 defeat.

The Giallorossi are without Chris Smalling, Tammy Abraham and Renato Sanches, who are all sidelined with injuries. Diego Llorente and Paulo Dybala are both also in doubt due to muscle complaints.

When these two teams met back in September, Milan secured a 2-1 win after goals from Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao.

Probable line-ups for Milan vs Roma

Milan (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Hernandez, Jimenez; Adli, Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud.

Roma (3-5-2): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Llorente, Huijsen; Kristensen, Cristante, Paredes, Bove, Zalewski; Lukaku, Belotti.
