Mike Maignan is finally back for Milan and Stefano Pioli will confirm a three-man defence against Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta.

It kicks off at 19.45 GMT.

The defending Serie A champions are without the injured Davide Calabria, Alessandro Florenzi and Ismael Bennacer.

Maignan will play his first game since September when he sustained a calf injury while on international duty with France.

The Rossoneri won the last three games across all competitions 1-0 and have never won four in a row this season. The last time they won four consecutive matches without conceding was in 2018.

The defending Serie A champions have only earned one point in the last four games played against teams in the top six in Serie A.

Atalanta travel to San Siro without the suspended Merih Demiral and the injured Hans Hateboer, Mario Pasalic and Duvan Zapata.

José Luis Palomino is favourite over Berat Djimsiti for a spot in a three-man defence while Ederson should get the nod in midfield with Jeremie Boga initially on the bench.

Atalanta have lost three of the last four games across all competitions after four wins and two draws in the first six games of 2023.
