Christian Pulisic and Tijjani Reijnders completed yet another Milan comeback to defeat Como, who saw Dele Alli’s debut ruined by a red card after just 10 minutes.

The Rossoneri stemmed the crisis with a comeback from 2-0 down to beat Lecce 3-2 last week, so Rafael Leao returned to the starting XI, with Mike Maignan and Strahinja Pavlovic back from suspension. Marc Oliver Kempf and Mergim Vojvoda also completed their bans for Como, with Sergi Roberto fit for the bench.

See how it all unfolded on the Liveblog.

Yunus Musah should’ve put Milan ahead in the fourth minute when sent clear by a well-worked team move, but after dribbling around Jean Butez, he pulled his finish wide of the open goal, also failing to set up two teammates who were ready to tap in.

Nico Paz drilled wide and Musah wasted another chance with his poor first touch, while Ivan Smolcic did just enough to stop Theo Hernandez going clear on the Tijjani Reijnders pass.

Instead, Como took the lead when Maignan rushed off his line to deny Nico Paz with his chest. The move kept going, Nico Paz laid off the Assane Diao pass for Lucas Da Cunha on the edge of the area, a left-footed daisy-cutter into the near bottom corner.

It could’ve been 2-0 before half-time, as Kempf controlled the Maxence Caqueret ball over the top and forced a great save from Maignan.

Musah was booked for a shirt tug on Diao and will be suspended for Milan’s trip to Napoli. Como had the ball in the net again with Da Cunha’s deflected angled drive on 49 minutes, but VAR confirmed his shoulder was millimetres offside after a crucial Dossena sliding tackle on substitute Alex Jimenez.

Instead, moments later Milan grabbed the equaliser, with a dinked Reijnders pass sending Pulisic down the left for a precise angled drive.

Nico Paz tested Maignan from the edge of the area, then the goalkeeper pushed a Da Cunha strike round the base of the near post.

Milan were unlucky not to turn the game around on 69 minutes when Reijnders clipped the top of the crossbar after a sweeping move from left to right.

Cutrone fired just wide of the top corner on the bounce, but Milan did complete the comeback with a wonderful goal.

Tammy Abraham made an inspired first-time pass on the turn to send Reijnders through, the Dutch midfielder keeping his cool to beat Jean Butez at the near bottom corner from 12 yards.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek made his comeback after a long injury lay-off, while Dele Alli was given his Serie A debut for Como, his first game since February 2023.

It was so nearly 3-1 when Abraham again was crucial with a cushioned control on the Joao Felix cross, setting it up for Reijnders to sweep inches wide of the far post.

Dele Alli’s return to the field was brief and unsuccessful, because he was sent off using VAR for a clumsy and high stamp on the back of Loftus-Cheek’s ankle.

Despite being down to 10 men and seeing Cesc Fabregas sent off for dissent too, Como kept pushing and Douvikas slipped at the crucial moment one-on-one with Maignan.
