FT: Monza 1-2 Juventus

Not great, but Juve get back to winning ways after 43 days in Serie A.

Serie A | Monza 1-2 Juventus: Old Lady back to winning ways

94'
Juve chance

Kenan Yildiz tries to break the Monza siege with a surge forward, curler from the edge of the area palmed round the near post by Turati – was going wide anyway.

90'

Monza have appeals for handball, it was McKennie, but it was outside the box. Not far outside, but still outside.

McKennie replaced by Fagioli as we enter 4 minutes of stoppages.

88'

Bianco gets down the right on a smart through ball, but the angle is too narrow and he can only hit the side-netting.

87'

Khephren Thuram surges forward, but his right-foot curler is off target.

85'

Mbangula and Adzic on for Juve, Vlahovic and Conceicao off.

Monza introduce Maric and Sensi for the exhausted Birindelli and Caprari.

83'

Monza free kick routine is not the best idea, Birindelli cross easy for Di Gregorio.

83'

D’Ambrosio off, Izzo on.

80'

Vlahovic feels Pablo Mari behind him and goes down a bit too easily, ref is unimpressed. Monza counter and Cambiaso manages to avoid the corner, instead going for the throw-in.

78'

Bondo blasts over the bar from outside the box. Very, very over.

77'

Sometimes Conceicao sprinting at defenders is a great idea. Sometimes it’s not. He really doesn’t seem to like passing. Bianco captures the ball with a great tackle.

76'
Big save!

Juventus cross to the back post, Kenan Yildiz diving header parried from point-blank range by Turati!

73'

Another great back-heel flick from Dany Mota to then set himself up, he sprints onto it, but the angle is too narrow and he can only hit the side-netting!

71'

Ciurria on for Pedro Pereira.

70'
Monza waste

Caprari holds off a defender, gets the back-heel flick away, which is touched on again for D’Ambrosio, but he blasts it off target from 14 yards!

69'

Vlahovic gathers on the edge of the area, dribbles into the box and goes down, referee is right there and waves play on.

68'

Kenan Yildiz flicks it on, goes for goal himself, charged down, then wins a free kick off Birindelli.

66'

Juve attack this time, Vlahovic stumbles and can’t get to the Kenan Yildiz ball across the face of goal! That just needed a tap.

65'

Monza corner comes to the edge of the area for the Kyriakopoulos half-volley, charged down by Savona.

64'

Nico Gonzalez off, Cambiaso on.

So McKennie moves from left-back to trequartista. Which is… quite the change.

63'

A well-worked Monza move including back-heel flick, the cross comes in and McKennie has to clear with difficulty.
