Thuram given the Man of the Match award, so Barella jokingly throws a towel over it.
A real show of strength from the Nerazzurri. Thuram scored two (plus the Djimsiti deflection) around the Barella screamer of a volley.
Arnautovic, just GO FOR GOAL. He was flagged offside anyway, but turned a defender, got right near the goal and then passed it to Frattesi, who slipped.
Corner taken short, Asllani cross whipped in, Arnautovic almost on the line gets the header so wrong that it bounces off his knee and somehow goes over the bar!
Inter are just TOO altruistic there!
Taremi harasses Atalanta into losing possession, pass sends Arnautovic clear, but instead the Austrian tries to pass it back again and Taremi is blocked off for a corner.
Ederson free kick into the box, but Inter get it clear. They are determined to keep the clean sheet intact.
Arnautovic on, Lautaro Martinez off.
Cross finds its way to Dimarco for the tap-in, but he was marginally offside.
4 – Marcus Thuram is the 4th #Inter player to score at least 4 goals in his first 3 appearances in a #SerieA season in the three points for a win era after Lautaro Martínez (5 in 23/24), Mauro Icardi (5 in 17/18) and Christian Vieri (4 in 1999/00 and 02/03). Sparkling. pic.twitter.com/tUwSrcpU76

Frattesi and Taremi waiting on the touchline for nearly 5 minutes, but the ball didn’t go out of play. They can finally make the subs.
Frattesi and Taremi on, Barella and Thuram off.
Zappacosta and Samardzic replaced by Palestra and De Ketelaere.
Some good old-fashioned General Chaos! Inter on the attack, everyone seems to prefer passing it to someone else and in the end nobody actually gets a shot away.
Mkhitaryan sends Dimarco on the counter, he attempts a lob from midfield, but it’s off target.
Brescianini strike charged down by Pavard. Atalanta still trying.

Cooling break at a sold out San Siro.
Retegui cross-shot flashes across the face of goal, beyond Brescianini and the far post.
Thuram got away from Toloi, the ref eventually decides with a foul though it wasn’t entirely clear, rolled across the face of goal for Mkhitaryan and he couldn’t get there!
Barella floats a long ball over the top, Lautaro Martinez is not offside, but the control is tricky and he turns wide under pressure from Toloi.
Atalanta still trying, bless them. Samardzic squirms between two and the finish is deflected over by some desperate defending.

Asllani and Carlos Augusto on, Calhanoglu and Bastoni off.
Bellanova off, Toloi on for Atalanta.
That was a very odd goal. Calhanoglu corner, Thuram volley is massively wrong, but Calhanoglu won’t let it go out again, instead floats in the cross, Thuram header down, Atalanta again can’t clear it and Thuram pounces on the loose ball from seven yards!
