Milan have Mike Maignan back in goal ahead of schedule with Tiemoue Bakayoko and Zlatan Ibrahimovic against Domenico Berardi’s Sassuolo.
It kicks off at San Siro at 14.00 GMT, you can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s five Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.
The Rossoneri suffered their first Serie A defeat of the season last week, 4-3 at Fiorentina, but then kept their Champions League hopes alive with a victory away to Atletico Madrid.
The injury list remains extensive, including Olivier Giroud, Ante Rebic, Fikayo Tomori, Davide Calabria and Samu Castillejo.
However, the great news is that Maignan returns ahead of schedule, as he was originally ruled out for three months by wrist surgery on October 12.
Ibrahimovic is the only real option upfront, with Rafael Leao having rested midweek in Madrid.
Tiemoue Bakayoko gets his first start of the season in midfield.
Sassuolo were going to be without Davide Frattesi, but he won his appeal against a ban for using a blasphemous phrase, which in Italian is the worst type of swearing.
Jeremie Boga, Filip Djuricic, Edoardo Goldaniga, Pedro Obiang and Filippo Romagna are still out of action.
Gianluca Scamacca is chosen to lead the attack, supported by Domenico Berardi and Gianluca Raspadori.
Surprisingly, Matheus is chosen in midfield, pushing Maxime Lopez into a trequartista role.
Milan: Maignan; Florenzi, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Bakayoko; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic
Sassuolo: Consigli; Muldur, Ayhan, Ferrari, Kyriakopoulos; Matheus, Frattesi; Berardi, Lopez, Raspadori; Scamacca
Another Shocking Performance by Milan.
They are clearly not In the fight for the title.
Inter is waay better than Milan even after losing 2 of their best players and coach.
But then again, their aim is just a top 4 finish to go and get embarrassed in Champions League again next year.
I said a few weeks earlier that Milan cahould forget UCL and focus on Serie A but no, they had to keep playing their best players in UCL even if they cannot go through( They cannot beat Liverpool based on Current form).
This is what happens when a team thinks they are better than they actually are. They think they are so good when in reality they are average at best and cannot compete in 2 Competitions at the same time like other top clubs..but then again, Milan haven’t been a top club for 10 years.

A vetting / age verification process needs to be applied to the comment section. Saves us from having to read utter tripe like above.
Milan have lost 2 games in 7 months in serie a, pirla. Even the very best teams go thru difficult moments. Clearly, Milan is missing Tomori. And clearly, the level of midfield and defensive concentration has not been at the expected levels over the past two games. Our target is to consolidate a top 4 finish, so we can be able to bring in better players and have more income. The fact that we still have a 1% chance of qualifying out of what is the group of death is testament to the will and fight in this squad. Now go and spew tripe elsewhere.
