Cagliari look to Joao Pedro and Leonardo Pavoletti while Marko Arnautovic starts in Bologna‘s attack.

The Sardinians are looking for their second win in a row after collecting all three points against Sampdoria on Sunday.

Pavoletti scored against the Blucerchiati, but hasn’t scored in two successive games since May 2019.

Nahitan Nandez is the only Cagliari player who is currently positive, but Luca Ceppitelli, Sebastian Walukiewicz, Damir Ceter, Marko Rog and Kevin Strootman are injured. Keita Baldé is on Africa Cup of Nations duty.

Bologna returned to training yesterday after being ordered to quarantine for five days.

Although Nicolas Viola, Nicolas Dominguez and Sydney Van Hooijdonk have recovered from COVID, Aaron Hickey, Gary Medel, Emanuel Vignato and Federico Santander are still positive and the same goes for three Primavera players who should have travelled to Sardinia with the first team.

Musa Barrow and Ibrahima Mbaye are on international duty. Nicola Sansone and Arama Soumaoro don’t have a COVID certificate.
