Luciano Spalletti has to deal with a reduced squad due to the Africa Cup of Nations, but will have Mario Rui, Piotr Zielinski, Kevin Malcuit and Hirving Lozano back after their recoveries from COVID.

Alex Meret has been brought into the starting lineup in place of David Ospina, who suffered a muscle strain injury in the 5-2 Coppa Italia loss to Fiorentina last week.

Fabian Ruiz is will start in the midfield after recovering from his recent muscle problems.

Sinisa Mihajlovic will be without star winger Riccardo Orsolini, who is suffering from shoulder pains, and Kingsley Michael and Jerdy Schouten are also absent.
