A fight to avoid relegation kicks off between Hellas Verona and Salernitana this evening, a match that’s worth more than just three points.

The game between the Gialloblu and the Granata kicks off at 17.30 UK time at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi in Verona.

Hellas Verona have not had a positive campaign and currently sit 18th in the Serie A table, picking up just 14 points from three wins and five draws after 21 games. The team have slowly started to right the ship, winning two of their last five outings, and they’ll be desperate to take all three points against Salernitana as they look to climb out of the relegation zone.

The Gialloblu have a slight injury crisis, being without Ajdin Hrustic, Thomas Henry, Milan Djuric and Miguel Veloso. Pawel Dawidowicz is also in doubt due to a muscle issue.

Salernitana sit 16th in the league table with 21 points, giving them a slim cushion above the relegation spots. The Campania outfit have only won once in their last nine league games, putting the pressure on as the second half of the season continues.

The Granata cannot count on Federico Fazio, Pasquale Mazzocchi and Giulio Maggiore, all of whom are out injured.
