Serie A leaders Napoli have collected 53 points in the opening 20 league games and are en route to beating Antonio Conte’s points record from the 2013-14 campaign.

The Partenopei are having an impressive season having won 17 of the opening 20 league matches, drawing two and losing just once.

Their incredible run means they can beat Juventus‘ points record from 2013-14 when the Bianconeri earned 102 points during Antonio Conte’s last season at the club. The current Serie A leaders need to earn 50 points from the remaining 54 available to overcome the Old Lady’s records.

Napoli are 13 points clear of second-placed Inter after Sunday’s 2-1 win over José Mourinho’s Roma at the Stadio Maradona.

The Partenopei supporters have been waiting for a Serie A title since 1989-90 when they won their second and last Scudetto, during the Diego Armando Maradona era.

They have been eliminated from Coppa Italia at the hands of Cremonese, but are still in the race for the Champions League and will meet Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in the Round of 16 next month.
